With all our experiences, good and bad and everything else in between, do we still have the time and the opportunity to appreciate one great blessing called “newness.”
This is probably a heavy introduction to start the day but surely there’s something really interesting about it that can give you a fresh perception of what really life means. I understand the people who have been living their lives unaware of what it is about and a few others who are really into “living the dreams.” Whichever person you choose to be, it’s entirely your decision.
What is this blessing called “newness”?Everything that happened in the past can never, ever happen again exactly the way it happened before. Every stroke you made during yesterday’s breakfast is unique. The way you held your cup of coffee and the way you used your tablewares are just as unique as they way you’ll have to hold the same cup in the future.
Even you you ride the same car or take the same route in almost the same time of day, every movement you had is so unique that you can’t repeat each of them exactly the way you did it. Even you have your work routine, it may be something you do everyday but you’re doing it differently everyday.
What’s my point?
Life is about newness. Every day is a new opportunity for you to change something that will help you become a person you’d like to be. It means that you can choose to either perform worse or better than yesterday. It means that you can start a new life from wherever you are right now.
Our movements or simple activities can make a lot of difference in our lives. The way we can talk today can be refined; we can make it better than yesterday. The way we carry ourselves; we can make it better. The way we treat our clients today; we can make it better. The way we lead our people; we can make it better today. You can choose to learn one new word today. It can start a miracle in your life.
Every stroke that we make, every sentence that we construct, and every smile that we make everyday is new and unique. It gives us hope for the future. It makes us see that indeed, God in all His might and power, we can choose which path to take and which life to live today.
Appreciate the newness of life because everyday, you wake up as a new person although you seldom see your self as one. Probably because your idea of newness is bigger that what it is supposed to mean.
