For today’s take home, we talk about technology. I am sure we all have an idea what technology is and how it affects our daily lives in so many ways. In many ways, we have seen technology as a disruptive tool but we have also seen it as an effective ally.
The truth is technology is a double-edged sword. It can work for us or against us.
In business, it difficult to embrace technology when we have started in an age when technology is yet to be born. Thus, embracing new tools has become a challenge in the way we conduct our business. Many traditional businesses would naturally find it difficult to let go of the things that made them in years.
But more challenging than letting go is probably appreciating the idea that technology is real and it is now the name of the game. If you are not technologically capable, you are probably not in the game and therefore not getting any chance of winning.
Technology like website, social media, Apps are here to stay. Until when? I don’t know. Some naysayers may say it is just a trend, a fad, an illusion. Traditional business people may say they have survived without technology so why accept it now.
But it is right here and it is real. Maybe just for now or until the next few years. We don’t know. I don’t know. But this is the name of the game now and we can’t win without being in the game.
Technology is originally designed to make our lives better. Or maybe, if we resist, the same technology will make our lives miserable. Make your move.
