A couple of weeks back, after we’ve heard so much about Yolanda’s incomprehensible effect on the Filipino nation, corporate trainer and speaker Ricky De Vera, a good friend of mine and idol in the industry, commented on my post asking if we can gather as many professional speakers as we can and setup an event that would benefit the people in the Visayas.
I said yes and we started to tag our friends in the industry, some have disregarded our calls, but majority wholeheartedly accepted it and then there’s “We Are One,” a grand learning event that’s going to happen on December 7 at Vista Center, UGF Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City.Imagine an event for only P1,000 where you have the best of the best motivational and corporate speakers. You don’t get such an experience every day. But this time, we decided to speak together, and then every revenue is sent to our beneficiaries to help the victims out.
You see, we waived all our professional fees and decided to do this as one at will. We gathered our friendships, energy, resources and efforts to make a strong impact in the lives of people who are deeply affected by this super typhoon by raising funds for them.
In this rare collaboration of topnotch speakers, we will see a discussion about “Resilience Is Not Enough” by Coach Randy Esguerra to be followed by a session on “YES! You Can Inspire As You Live!” by Ricky de Vera, MBA, CSP.
The this session is about “Creating A Personal Vision: You Can Do It If You Can Perceive It” by Boris Joaquin before pausing for lunch.
In the afternoon, eCommerce expert and Digital Filipino founder Janette Toral will talk about “Connecting and Engaging Online” before a session on “Victim vs. Responsible Mindset” by Joey Reyes.
There will be a panel discussion by Gwen Pang, JC Libiran and Pocholo Gonzales before the sixth and final session on “Understanding & Appreciating What Happens To You” by Pido Aguilar.
We have a lot to share to make this world a better place for everyone. While we are perceived to be competitors to each other, we’d like to believe the we are good friends with the same love and passion training and development. We love people and we can set aside those differences for a cause greater that our individual self-interests.

If you haven’t seen me in the poster, it’s because I’ll be speaking in January 2014 along with others who would miss this one because of prior commitments. I will be speaking in Dipolog City on the same day, December 7. Catch other speakers who will form the second batch!
