Seeing this video, it’s an indescribable feeling! Let me write this down before I cry (tears of joy, actually). This is a dream that came true, a true gift from God, a true manifestation that miracles really happen if you just love enough. And it all started when I asked myself: Is there still something in me that I can share to inspire people other than talks, books and shirts?
The answer brought me back to what was once my first love: music. So, I started to just let my hands find the rhythm, my heart find the melody and my mind find the words that made up a total of seven inspirational love songs.
But just like any endeavor I’ve been doing, my musical journey goes beyond me and my desire for fame, popularity, money. It has always been about everyone who puts their earphones when they are lonely, afraid, disappointed, pained, sorry; everyone who turns on their loud speakers when they are happy, fulfilled, victorious; everyone who turns into music when music is the only thing they have got to survive for just another day; everyone who recreates life through songs that retell their history, memory and life story.
To my wife Beth Pujeda-Luna, who supported me from the very beginning, thank you for all the love and understanding. It’s pretty tough job to understand an artist-entrepreneur. To my music hero Ronaldo Javier Raz, thanks for all your support and extra push and for introducing Erwin to me.
Thank you Iean Iñigo for your magical, amazing dressing up of my songs (musical arragement in other words). I also would like to thank Kiko Salazar for introducing you to me virtually. The artists who gave their precious time and incredible efforts before, during and after recording sessions: Ava Jugueta, Erwin Meredor Lacsa, Alona Burgos Climaco, Leyzabelle Mentiza Gabuat, Rose Venette. Thank you for singing your hearts out and for bringing life to my songs and for believing, not necessarily in me, but in this project and the cause it proudly represents.
Thanks also to our sound engineer Rico Bicol for putting your best ears on this one. Special thanks to Pocholo De Leon Gonzales for assisting me on my narration tracks. Thanks to Mys Sandico, Nicolette Henson, Clarissa Cañizares de Guzman for being the bridge to my singers. And to everyone who have been supporting me, you know who you are, thank you so very much.
