It was a very, very good morning. I woke up early to prepare for my meeting with senatorial candidate Gilbert Remulla (Nacionalista Party). I called him on Tuesday after our meeting with another senatorial aspirant Teacher Neric Acosta and I’m glad Gilbert agreed to meet me and my team today.
But yesterday, Ian Barcelona advised me of a meeting with the bosses of Camella Homes. They’d like to finalize the program of their 2010 Kick-off Sales Rally (and we’re very happy to be up on stage to motivate and do a team building for their “South team.” They arrived at around 9:30 a.m.
I decided to use my office but we transferred to Creative Center because I was about to receive Gilbert for 10 a.m. meeting. But Gilbert called up to say he’s on his way. A couple of minutes more and he arrived. I received him in my office.
I met Gilbert during a Rotaract event in Cavite where I was one of the guest speakers. I gave him a copy of my book, Is There A Job Waiting For You? (with my signature on it) and from then I knew we can work out something together. When we met at a gymnasium there in Cavite, I called him (Senator).
I asked him how he does and I asked him about his campaign. I asked him about what he still needs. He replied, “Fund.” (He’s kidding, of course. But it can it be half truth?). I discussed my portfolio as a political consultant that was part of the “Strong Republic ” gang that somehow helped get a president elected.
Just like me, he’s also a Blackberry user!
We exchanged some views and thoughts. He presented the meat of his political platform: Employment, Education, Environment. Care to get some details?
And then Ian knocked on the door. I let him in and I introduced him to Gilbert. After 15 minutes, we changed venue. But not until I got a shot with him.
We discussed and informally proposed some things that may help his campaign.
(In the afternoon, Alvin Vilanueva, Owner and Manager of Goldlane Press, dropped by my office. We basically talked about some printing business and I asked him to quote some projects that I intend to do this coming months including the 2010 LLOYDLUNA Planner and LLOYDLUNA Magazine.
